There is a really great site sponsored by Scholastic called "What's Your Book Print?" The premise is that each one of us is defined in some way by the books we've read. Check out the site to see the book prints of some famous and not-so-famous people. Add your book print to the site and see who else picked the same books as you! http://youarewhatyouread.scholastic.com/adults/
We'll be doing something at the school-level around this idea in the near future so keep an eye out for upcoming information!

Mystery? Not so much....
Hey, Bookwarms-R-Us! Apparently, the mystery genre wasn't something too many of you were excited about. That's okay, since there are tons of other choices for us to consider. There was some discussion about everyone reading the same book and you chose Beastly by Alex Finn, a retelling of the children's story Beauty and the Beast set in modern day New York City. Sounds really good! Here is a link to the movie that will be coming out in March of this year http://www.beastlythemovie.com/. Check out Alex Finn's site at http://www.alexflinn.com/html/beastly.html.
Our next meeting is Thursday, January 27th in the library during IA. See you all then!

Our first book club meeting (where we finally get to share the books we've been reading!)
Welcome Bookworms-R-Us! Yes, that's the official name for your group (sorry, I don't know how to make the "R" backwards!).
Here is a list of the books that were discussed at this meeting in the fantasy genre (and you gals REALLY love and know this genre!)
Book Discussion Question (BDQ): Pick one character from your book and tell how s/he changes throughout the story. Describe any defining moments or events that support these changes.
Our first discussion went well considering we just came back from break, but many of you had read a TON of books over that time period and not just this one for book club.
I hope the book covers were the same ones you were expecting since they often change over time. Since not all of us brought our book, I was left to guess at some of them.
For our next meeting on Thursday, January 13th......
Pick a book in the mystery genre and be ready to discuss the finer details next week! Happy reading!
